Lodging & Accomodations
Once the Faire gets going, it takes on a life of its own and for this reason, many attendees prefer to stay on site to enjoy the full experience. It is easier to attend the evening activities as well as the sunrise activities - not to mention be there for the delicious breakfasts that our fantastic cooks create. We have several options for staying on site. For those of you who would like to stay offsite, there are plenty of options for that as well!
Cabins: We have rustic, dorm style cabins, each with 12-15 bunks. Bathrooms are not in the cabins, however each group of cabins has a bathroom nearby. Bathrooms do have lights, flush toilets, and sinks; hot showers are available in a separate block near the dining hall. In the past we have had several all women's cabins and several all gender and family cabins. We have not yet needed to create an all male cabin but would be happy to do so if the need arose. These cabins are unheated and we are unable to put space heaters in them due to regulations and fire hazards. Everyone who stays in the cabins must bring their own sheets and blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, etc. Weather in September in Southeast Michigan is generally mild to warm, but there are no guarantees, so bring enough to stay cozy! We have had some amount of rain each of the past years since the beginning, so we are due for a sunny weekend!! If you require a bottom bunk for a physical reason or because you have a baby or toddler with you, please email [email protected] to let us know and we will accommodate you. Camping: Many people prefer to bring their own accommodations for the Faire. We have plenty of camping space to do so. There will be some designated areas to camp, however, you are free to camp almost anywhere as long as the flow of the Faire will not be interrupted by your spot. Please do not camp near or on the beach or near the community fire as those are spots for all to enjoy. There are plenty of quiet places to pitch a tent. Camping stoves are allowed.
Camper: We can accommodate a few small campers (no hook-ups). Please email [email protected] to let us know you prefer to bring your camper and to make sure we still have space for it.
